Enter the Dystopian City
The theme of the new game is centered around a dystopian city with flesh-eating mutant plants threatening to end all humanity. Your job is to enter the city, fight the mutants, and regain control of Florageddon once again. Victorious players land huge wins, especially when the dropdown wins cause all winning symbols to vanish from the reels, triggering even more cascades. Whenever dropdown wins are engaged, a new Wild symbol gets placed on the reels.
The game gives high-energy gaming vibes thanks to its eye-catching, detailed visuals and animation options. The audio is spot on while the carefully-chosen symbols represent the apocalyptic carnivore plants in the form of orange, green, pink, and blue triffids, purple street lamps, fire hydrants, clock towers, and sign posts. The game also gestures the classic A, K, Q and J icons as low-paying symbols. To score a win in the base game, players must match between three and five symbols.
Free Spins, Free Spins Gamble & Special Rewards
Players can collect between seven and 11 free spins by gaining three consecutive Dropdowns. While using free spins, scoring three more consecutive Dropdown wins will engage the Special Reward. Players can also choose to gamble between seven and 16 free spins to see the bonus round move to the next level. Triggering four Cascades in the base game generates a Special Reward in the form of a Double Wild, a Wild Stack, an Extra Life, or a 10x Multiplier Boost.
Yggdrasil’s head of product and programs Stuart McCarthy expressed the company’s thrill regarding the release of their very first DuoMax game that has expanded their Game Engagement Mechanic portfolio. McCarthy also explained excitement for managing to “expand the boundaries of innovation” with their fresh and bold offerings, calling Florageddon! another excellent addition to their portfolio.
At the end of September, Yggdrasil celebrated another important holiday with similarly eerie and haunting slot when it released Calvera Crush in time for the Day of the Dead. During the same month, the studio joined hands with Peter & Sons for the release of Voodoo Hex.
