Wynn Resorts’ sports betting brand, WynnBET, announced on Monday that it inked an agreement with Shaquille O’Neal, the professional basketball superstar. Under the exclusive partnership, O’Neal will use his expertise as a strategic consultant for the brand. Furthermore, the long-term agreement will make the basketball star a brand ambassador for the app. As a brand ambassador and strategic consultant, O’Neal will play a key role within WynnBET’s advertising both online and on TV. Moreover, O’Neal will participate in in-person events, as well as help create original WynnBET content.

The basketball star will also collaborate with WynnBET’s partners, Blue Wire Podcasts, Cumulus Media and Minute Media. Celebrating O’Neal’s appointment, the company revealed that it will launch a special free-to-play game dubbed “ShaqPot” within its WynnBET app. With that in mind, O’Neal will be selling his ownership stake in Sacramento Kings to comply with NBA’s rules. O’Neal acknowledged that sports betting is gaining momentum and that he believes that WynnBET “will be a powerful force in the industry.”
