William Hill Cleared to Run The Palms Race and Sportsbook

William Hill has been officially approved as the managing partner for the race and sportsbook at the Palms Casino. During a vote on Thursday, the Nevada Gaming Commission gave green light to the established brand, now owned by Caesars Entertainment, to take over the day-to-day activities of the betting lounges when the resort opens doors on Wednesday. William Hill in the meantime is already represented in 124 locations in the Silver States.

Palms Opens with William Hill Sportsbook

William Hill will have to meet a number of conditions as requested by the regulator, including the implementation of a surveillance system on-site that will help uphold order and will be inspected by the Nevada Gaming Control Board to ensure that business is conducted in an orderly fashion.

William Hill will also have to employ ticket writers and offer the necessary training. The company is planning to introduce five betting stations along with six kiosks as previously confirmed by a Caesars executive, senior vice president, and assistant general counsel of regulator compliance Jeffrey Hendricks.

Hendricks assured regulators during the Thursday hearing with the Commission that the sportsbook will meet all standards for a great experience and provide consumers with the added value they can enjoy.

Big Ceremony to Welcome the Property

The Palms is planning a big festive ceremony that will include fireworks and other events. Palms has already been selling hotel bookings and is banking on the upcoming NFL draft which will be held at the Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, with tourism in the state beginning to pick up.

Nevada is still experiencing a shortage of casino workers who are needed to help the casino industry in places such as Las Vegas keep humming along. Thousands of employees are needed in Sin City and beyond and the only way to get them would be through active hiring campaigns. The Palms seems to have figured it all out, but more career opportunities in the sector await.
