Washington Capitals Pick Caesars as First-Ever Jersey Sponsor

Caesars logo is set to debut on Washington Capitals home and third jerseys at the beginning of the 2022-2023 NHL season. Additionally, Caesars expanded its collaboration with Caps’ owner Monumental Sports and Entertainment to include casino, gaming and the Caesars Rewards program.

Caps Pick Caesars for Home and Third Jerseys Sponsor

The Washington Capitals and Caesars Entertainment inked a new partnership agreement which will bring Caesars’ sportsbook logo on Capitals home and third jerseys worn for games played at Capital One Arena.

The multi-year partnership marks a landmark moment as this is the first agreement within the NHL Jersey Advertising Program. Caesars’ 3 x 3.5-inch patch will be positioned on the upper right chest area of the jersey for games played at Capital One Arena beginning with the 2022-2023 NHL season.

Besides the jersey patch, Caesars has also expanded its collaboration with Caps owner Monumental Sports and Entertainment (MSE). That expansion will include casino, gaming, as well as Caesars Rewards program elements. Additionally, the deal will see Caesars’ VIP seats and hospitality space at Capital One Arena.

The latest collaboration complements the historic opening of Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena earlier this year. The first-ever sports betting venue within a US professional sports facility debuted in May and it features 18,000 square foot space with 17 betting windows as well as 12 self-serving kiosks.

Since its opening, Caesars Sportsbook proved to be a marquee destination for regional, local and global visitors. The venue also features Verizon 5G Wi-Fi enabling visitors to easily place wagers via mobile devices. With the help of Caesars Rewards, bettors can earn Tier Credits and Rewards Credits which are then used to unlock unique experiences within Caesars’ portfolio of partnerships.

Caesars and MSE Extend a Historic Partnership

Chris Holdren, co-president of Caesars Digital, deemed the appearance of the Caesars logo on Caps jerseys an exciting chapter. He outlined that similar to MSE, Caesars is always looking for innovative opportunities to engage with the fans. In conclusion, Holdren said that Caesars is proud to extend its “historic partnership with such a storied franchise after launching the sportsbook at Capital One Arena.”

Being woven into the Washington Capitals jersey is an exciting chapter in our collective story.

MSE’s president of business operations and CCO, Jim Van Stone, revealed that the company is happy to build on the successful collaboration with Caesars. He outlined that MSE is thrilled to “introduce Caesars Sportsbook as the Capitals’ inaugural home jersey advertising partner in a first-of-its-kind announced partnership in the NHL.” Van Stone did not miss saying that having Caesars appearing on Capitals’ home jerseys is a wonderful development that will boost fan engagement.

Under the NHL’s Jersey Advertising Program that starts with the 2022-2023 season, two jersey sponsors are allowed per team. Those two sponsors must appear separately for home and away games. Now that the Caps have revealed their home sponsor, it is expected the team to unveil their away sponsor at a later date.
