Two Men Shot in Las Vegas on Sunday, One of Them Killed

A fatal incident occurred at a bar on the Las Vegas Strip on Sunday. The case is seemingly unrelated to the earlier shooting at the Sahara. The incident happened inside PT’s Place at Decatur Boulevard near Charleston Boulevard.

The shooting took place at 3 AM and, according to the police reports, a man walked up to the victim and fatally shot him before escaping. Local TV station KLAS reported the incident. The report says that the two men did not appear to have interacted before the shooting.

There aren’t any details revealed by the police about the victim and his fatal wounds. According to the report, the deceased is believed to be of Hispanic background and was in his late 20s. An autopsy is likely to follow soon. The police continue their investigation, reviewing the surveillance tape videos from PT’s Place.

Another Man Shot at Sahara Las Vegas

Las Vegas local TV station KVVU reported a shooting at Sahara Las Vegas on Sunday that left a man with life-threatening injuries. The name of the victim has not yet been revealed and a suspect is still not arrested or identified. At around 11:30 AM, the unnamed man was shot in the torso.

The Metro Police reported that the victim was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. According to KVVU, the man was in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon, and it wasn’t clear if he required surgery. Later in the day, the police looked for evidence and possible witnesses at the crime scene.

Las Vegas Mass Shooting Victims with $800 Million Settlement

In October 2020, The Nevada Court approved a settlement of $800 million for the victims of the Las Vegas Mass shooting in 2017 when 58 lost their lives, and 800 people were injured at an open-air concert near Mandalay Bay when Stephen Paddock started shooting at the crowd from his window. The incident was deemed by CNN the deadliest mass shooting in US history.

In January 2021, Las Vegas police reported that they made 1,229 arrests and confiscated 64 firearms on the Strip during a three-month operation to battle crime in Las Vegas. In a tweet on June 25, just two days before the last two shootings, Metro Capt. Dori Koren stated the there have been no shootings or stabbings on the Strip in the past two months.
