The last two months have been transformative for gaming and betting giant Entain as the company’s board of directors welcomes new executives and bids farewell to old ones.
Entain Welcomes Two New Additions to Its Board of Directors
Entain has appointed two new members of the board as the company’s current senior independent director Stephen Morana is leaving to focus on his career as an executive chief financial officer of the online car retailer Cazoo. Vicky Jarman and Stella David are to join the board on March 4.
Jarman will join Entain’s Audit and Remuneration Committees as an independent non-executive director, while David will be an independent director part of the Remuneration, Nomination, Environmental, Social, and Governance Committees.
Jarman is a chartered accountant who was first certified at KPMG. She then worked in the investment banking team of the asset management and financial advisory company Lazard and Co before becoming the chief operations officer for the company’s Middle East and London operations. Jarman held this position until 2009.
Her career path includes non-executive director and chair of the Audit Committee of Equiniti Group and a non-executive director of recruitment company Hays plc, manufacturing company De La Rue plc, and estate agency Knight Frank LLP. She was also appointed senior independent director at Equinitti.
Currently, Jarman serves as the non-executive director of Signature Aviation plc and Portland Estates plc.
David Comes from a Long Background at Bacardi Ltd
David was CEO of the international spirits company William Grant & Sons Limited from August 2009 until March 2016. She helped the business grow and expand into new markets. Prior to that, David held various high-rank positions at Bacardi Ltd for fifteen years, including the brand’s global chief marketing officer. Ahead of that, she chaired the Remuneration Committee of the Nationwide Building Society, which is the UK’s second-biggest mortgage and savings provider.
Ms. David then rejoined Bacardi as a non-executive member of their board in June 2016. She is also currently a non-executive director of HomeServe plc, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, and Domino’s Pizza Group. She graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in engineering.
Chairman Barry Gibson Welcomes New Directors to the Board
Entain’s Chairman, Barry Gibson welcomed David and Jarman to the board of directors and added the two had a huge variety of perspectives and experiences from many different industries and will complement each other’s skills.
