Spotlight Announces Alarm Sports Network Acquisition
World-leading technology, content and media company Spotlight Sports Group announced on Wednesday the acquisition of FA Media LLC (Alarm Sports Network). Alarm Sports Network is a company that develops engaging content for proprietary platforms such as Fantasy Alarm, Wager Alarm and DFS Alarm. Additionally, the company provides technology solutions and free-to-play content for sports content providers and blue-chip media.
By adding these services, Spotlight Sports Group said that it creates “an all-encompassing sports betting and fantasy sports offering.” Within the sports betting realm, the company is well known for its direct-to-consumer platforms such as Racing Post in the UK and Ireland. Additionally Spotlight is recognized for Pickwise which is a leading sports betting content provider in North America.
Under the latest agreement, Spotlight will integrate the ASN team which will grow its workforce to more than 500 people. Ed Bunnell, FOX Sports and EA Sports executive as well as Rick Wolf, former NBC executive will remain a part of Spotlight. The deal will also retain the expertise of ASN co-founders Dan and Al Williams. The acquisition will see ASN brands DFS Alarm, Fantasy Rundown, Fantasy Alarm, Wager Alarm join Pickwise. This will result in the creation of a direct-to-consumer brand roster that will be available for fantasy players and sports bettors in North America.

Commenting on the topic, ASN’s co-founder, Dan Williams, said that the company is excited to become a part of Spotlight Sports Group. He acknowledged that collaborating with Spotlight will help drive innovation and solve challenges for the company’s partners within the continuously evolving sports media space.
