Sportradar and Bulgaria’s National Police Sign an MoU

Sportradar and Bulgarian Police to Protect Sports Integrity

Sportradar, a world-leading multinational sports data supplier, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the General Directorate National Police of Bulgaria, forming a strategic partnership to maintain sports integrity in the country.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will exchange documentation, analysis, and other information relevant to sports integrity. Bulgaria’s National Police and Sportradar will begin exploring joint project opportunities. The goal is to establish practices, which will effectively fight fraud, match-fixing, and corruption within the sports betting industry.

Sportradar Works with Law Enforcement Agencies in Europe

Sportradar formed a working relationship with various European countries’ national police and law enforcement agencies, including Europol. The company collaborates with the Austrian Police, the French Federal Police, Spain’s Guardia Civil, and others. Today’s MoU agreement with Bulgaria’s National Police ensures strengthened safeguards around Bulgarian sport.

Sportradar Managing Director Integrity Services Andreas Krannich stated that maintaining the integrity of the sport on a global scale is the company’s priority. Partnerships like this help the organization reduce corruption, which threatens sporting integrity. The company aims to have effective communication channels with Bulgaria’s General Directorate National Police to resolve any sporting integrity issues in the country.

Chief Commissioner Nikolay Hadzhiev, Director of General Directorate National Police, stated that the MoU between the two organizations would lead to improvement in the field of protection and safeguarding of sporting integrity and sports wagering. He also said that this cooperation would put Bulgarian sport in a safer position.

Sport Signed an Agreement with NOC*NSF

Sportradar signed a pilot agreement with the Dutch authorities to monitor bets for sports competitions in the Netherlands. It is the first to provide integrity solutions to the Netherlands Olympic Committee Dutch Sports Federation (NOC*NSF). As the National Platform for the country under Council of Europe’s Macolin Convention, NOC*NSF will employ Sportaradar’s tools, gathered from experience and extensive know-how in battling match-fixing.

Sportradar Partnered with SvFF to Monitor Its Competitions

Sportradar has signed an agreement with the Swedish Football Association (SvFF) to monitor and safeguard soccer competitions’ integrity in the country.

During the 2021 season, the company will use its bet-tracking solution, the Fraud Detection System, screening over 2,000 matches from the Swedish Ettan, Division 2, U21 Allsvenskan, U19 Allsvenskan, and club friendlies involving Swedish teams (FDS).

The SvFF has previously used Sportradar’s services to help during an ongoing investigation into a former Allsvenskan player.
