SoftSwiss Approved for Online Casino Operations in Greece

Developer of gambling software SoftSwiss announced it is preparing to launch and operate in the regulated Greek market, following the granting of a gaming license for Online Casino operation recently.

First Client Preparing to Go Live

The online casino gaming license issued by the Hellenic Gaming Commission expanded SoftSwiss’ presence to another regulated gaming jurisdiction and is continuing the series of national licenses awarded to the gaming technology company.

“It’s a tremendous landmark and an amazing achievement for us to receive the Greek gaming licence to be able to do business in a regulated national market and expand our reach!”

Ivan Montik, Founder, SoftSwiss

SoftSwiss outlined in the press release that the Greek national regulator awarded the license earlier in June as the tech company was already applying the final touches of its first iGaming arena project in Greece, N1CASINO.GR

“It’s even more exciting to be officially announcing our very first client for the Greek region to be N1CASINO Greece. We’ve recently made strategic moves to fast-developing markets like Nigeria and are now establishing ourselves more in the European continent.”

Ivan Montik, Founder, SoftSwiss

N1CASINO Greece, part of N1 Partners Group, is expected to go live with online casino games by the end of the year, while the operator is further planning to integrate sports betting into its offering at a later stage.

Expanding European Presence

The online casino license granted by the Hellenic Gaming Commission allows SoftSwiss to operate legally in the country and expands the company’s footprint in Europe, so far being present in Malta, Belgium, Estonia, Belarus, and Curaçao. The license will also facilitate the process of establishing new business partnerships for the gaming technology supplier.

“It is opening new horizons for us and we’re ready to go for it. SOFTSWISS is not only planning on doing business in Greece but also making a positive impact through charity and corporate social sustainability efforts in the country.”

Ivan Montik, Founder, SoftSwiss

The online casino operation license in Greece came just months after the Belarus-based tech firm made its first entry into the African market, having received a sports betting and online gaming license in Nigeria to open up numerous possibilities for growth largely overlooked by major competitors.

SoftSwiss explained its choice for the country with the sheer size of the economy being among the fast-growing markets in Africa, as well as the exponentially growing exposure of Nigerian people to the internet which is considered as highly supportive for sportsbook operations.
