SharpLink and NBC Sports Collaborate for Immersive Ryder Cup
Online gaming technology company SharpLink Gaming announced this week it would be launching a free-to-play game for this year’s Ryder Cup that will take place later in the month.

Pioneer of game-changing solutions and experiences for the sports betting industry SharpLink entered into an agreement with NBC Sports to expand customer experience for the 43rd Ryder Cup that is scheduled to take place from September 24-26 at Whistling Straits in Kohler, WI, with the launch of a free-to-play online game.
Commenting on the agreement, NBC Sports Group VP of Digital Strategy and Partnerships Michael Lowe outlined the “creative” and “digital gamification expertise” SharpLink has in sports and fantasy game development.

The gamification of the tournament, on top of the televised coverage, will bring a new “entertaining dimension to the Ryder Cup experience” and will attract more casual fans, Michael Lowe concluded.
Ryder Cup Fantasy Game
The free-to-play Ryder Cup Fantasy online game will celebrate this year’s edition of the major golf tournament. which takes place every two years and features 24 of the best golfers in the world in a head-to-head match between Team America and Team Europe, by offering golf fans an even more immersive experience. It will be available on the official Ryder Cup website and mobile app.

Sports fans will have to choose six golfers from either of the two teams and compete against each other by earning points the way professional golfers do in the matches dating back to the 1927 Ryder Cup. The best performer will win the ultimate prize pack filled with Ryder Cup gear.
The 43rd Ryder Cup will feature on NBC and the Golf Channel in the US and will be streamed at the official website of the golf tournament. Televised broadcasts begin Friday, September 24.
Earlier this month, SharpLink entered into another gamification agreement with NFL franchise Minnesota Vikings to introduce a fantasy game, Pass or Play, on the official Vikings app.
