SG Agrees to Deliver Leading Technology for LOTTO Bayern

The global provider of digital and retail products, services and technology for lotteries, Scientific Games, announced a new collaboration with the Staatliche Lotterie- und Spielbankverwaltung, famous as LOTTO Bayern, a state-owned gambling provider in Munich, Germany.

Scientific Games Brings Symphony Technology for LOTTO Bayern

Announced Wednesday, the new deal enables LOTTO Bayern to use Symphony, Scientific Games’ leading lottery gaming systems technology. As a result, the new gaming system will boost the lottery’s 3,300 retail outlets. What’s more, LOTTO Bayern’s digital sales will also benefit from Symphony.

The recent partnership complements Scientific Games’ successful relations with Staatliche Lotterie- und Spielbankverwaltung which date back to the mid-1990s. The leading provider currently powers the company’s operations by providing its top solutions such as retail point-of-sale technology, sports betting solutions, scratch card games, and more.

According to Scientific Games, the new collaboration “advances Staatliche Lotterie- und Spielbankverwaltung to fully modular, modern systems architecture that supports multi-channel sales.” Besides instant scratch games, the lottery currently offers plenty of products such as Spiel 77 and SUPER 6, GlückSpirale, Eurojackpot and LOTTO 6aus49, among other popular gambling products.

Matthias Müller, Scientific Games’ VP strategic sales and marketing, acknowledged that the company’s Symphony technology helps LOTTO Bayern take its operations to a new level. He explained that the leading gaming systems technology will undoubtedly help the operator continue to grow and navigate the changes in the gaming vertical. Last but not least, Müller predicted that the technology will enable LOTTO Bayern to continue to evolve within the digital and retail sectors.

The Technology Will Help the Operator Grow

Claus Niederalt, the president of the Staatliche Lotterie- und Spielbankverwaltung, added that the company is delighted to continue its successful collaboration with Scientific Games. He added that the technology provider’s Symphony technology not only meets but exceeds expectations. Finally, Niederalt said the new deal will help the “transition from monolithic to new modular architecture.”
