Supplier of gaming technology Scientific Games continues to add new faces to its ranks, a company announcement revealed today, stating that Victor Blanco would be joining as Chief Technology Officer in 2022.
Technology Strategy in Focus
New CTO Blanco would be tasked with oversight of the company’s technology strategy to support continuous efforts to maintain its leadership role across multiple gaming verticals, including lottery, sports betting, gaming and iGaming.
In addition, Victor Blanco, who boasts significant gaming industry experience, would provide support with regards to the development and execution of new gaming products at Scientific Games.

Besides his leadership skills and passion for innovation, Victor Blanco has a wide area of expertise covering Cloud, Automation and Embedded Systems technologies. His contribution at his most recent role as CTO at Aristocrat where he helped build technologies and teams was instrumental to the company’s turnaround of its business with land-based casino partners. At Aristocrat, Blanco also contributed to the company’s expansion into the social casino and casual game space.

Blanco’s professional experience includes multiple roles as a software engineer at Microsoft, where he actively participated in the development of the first Xbox console and online service, as well as a director of software architecture at HTC, prior to joining Aristocrat.

The news of the pending appointment of Victor Blanco continues the trend at Scientific Games of bringing top-notch industry experts on board to support the company’s aggressive expansion strategy.
In January, the gaming industry technology supplier announced high-profile changes to its ranks as Simon Johnson stepped in as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA and Jim Bombassei was appointed as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations.
Johnson, who has been with the company for 4 years already, having previously served as UK commercial director, was tasked to analyze and advance potential growth opportunities, while Bombassei was placed in charge of managing relations with investors and other interested parties and providing advice to the executive team.
