Scientific Games Agrees to Power Pascua Yaqui Tribe Sportsbook
Gaming technology supplier Scientific Games (SG) announced a new strategic partnership with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe in Arizona to deploy its OpenSports sports betting platform solution across two gaming venues run by the tribe.
Sportsbook Launch Later This Year
Scientific Games agreed to power the sports betting offering of the first-ever sportsbook at Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona, operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. SolSports will offer retail wagering on-site at the casino property, as well as via self-servicing betting kiosks at its sister property Casino of the Sun.
The OpenSports solution is a robust and scalable platform that can withstand all the pressures associated with major sporting events, while providing customers with an extensive range of markets. We are confident our guests will enjoy the new SolSports sportsbook and we can’t wait to go live later this year.”
Kimberly Van Amburg, CEO, Casino Del Sol
Both casino properties of the tribe will gain full access to the OpenSports sports betting platform, which combines the OpenBet engine with the OpenTrade risk and liability management system powered by Don Best Sports, a brand run by Don Best Sports Corporation, SG’s Nevada-based subsidiary.
Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun have both worked tirelessly to become leading casinos in Arizona and we are sure this new partnership can go from strength to strength in the newly regulated state.”

First-Class Sports Betting Offering
Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun will be able to offer sports bettors in Arizona the ability to place wagers on a variety of sports and sports betting markets powered by the OpenSports platform, a sports betting solution that proved its robustness during some of the peak sports betting events of the year globally.
We believe Arizona’s sports betting market will grow rapidly in size and we look forward to providing customers with a first-class offering.”
Cathryn Lai, SVP and General Manager US, Digital, Scientific Games
The announcement marks the first market entry in Arizona for SG after the state legalized sports betting this past April and is preparing for the official launch. It adds to SG’s growing portfolio of partners, among which is industry-leading FanDuel.
The Flutter Entertainment-owned sports betting brand that has the OpenSports platform at its core already launched its offering in ten US states, following Michigan and Tennessee launches in June with launches in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Virginia.
