A new partnership between Pickwise and FanDuel comes in time for the March Madness sports and betting bonanza.
Pickwise Ties Marketing Partnership with FanDuel
FanDuel and Pickwise have forged a marketing alliance to cover the March Madness season, SBC Americas, a media outlet, reported. Pickwise, a purveyor of free sports betting picks, and FanDuel, the leading US sportsbook in the country, will work on several initiatives to improve engagement and sports fans’ satisfaction with one of the biggest betting experiences on the calendar.
To this end, Pickwise is launching its pre-tournament betting show called “Masters of the Madness,” bringing some interesting guests under the spotlight. Former Detroit Mercy player Rashad Philips and NCAA insider Jon Rothstein will both take a seat and share their opinions for the Men’s Basketball season with sports fans and bettors.
Pickwise has brought on former Barstool content guru Jeff Nadu to help with some interesting initiatives, including the “Hoops Betting Hour” on YouTube.
Yet, the FanDuel partnership would mean more fresh ideas, including the “Pickwise Capper Contest,” where ten expert tipsters will come together and vie in a winner-takes-all contest with a prize pool worth $10,000.
The partnership with FanDuel allows the company to reach a much broader audience. FanDuel controls an estimated 40% of the market and has tremendous reach in the United States, both through traditional sports and fantasy sports betting products.
The American Gaming Association (AGA) has said that it expects the annual NCAA Men’s Basketball championship to be popular once again and generate interest, with over 47 million Americans now expected to make a bet.
This comes in a context where not all states have authorized collegiate sports betting for fears of the activity undermining the fairness of the competition.
