Tunica RG Poker Tournament Canceled
Although poker rooms in Las Vegas returned to poker tournaments with full force, this may not be the case for Mississippi. RunGood Poker announced on Monday the cancellation of its 2021 planned event at Horseshoe Tunica in Robinsonville, Mississippi. In a statement, the operator explained that the cancelation was the result of a staff shortage for the event.
The RG Poker Series event was planned to start on July 6 and run through July 11. However, considering that there was insufficient staff to “produce a Best Mid-Major experience for players and fans of the tour,” RunGood Poker decided to cancel the event instead of changing the location or rescheduling it.

According to Karn, one of the reasons for the cancelation was the “new hurdles” which were the result of the COVID-19 pandemic. He thanked all poker fans that tried reaching him to help “brainstorm solutions or book another venue for the dates.” In conclusion, Karn said that RG Poker wants to see the Southern players soon and hopes that they will be patient until a solution is found and the tournament returns.
