PointsBet, the Australian-based sports betting and gaming operator, announced strategic changes to its global leadership team today.
The Company Appoints New Group CTO
As a part of the changes, Manjit Gombra-Singh, who served as the company’s executive director since October 2020, will hold a non-executive director role, effective as of June 1, 2022. It was back in July 2019 when Gombra-Singh initially joined PointsBet as president, product and technology. Before being a part of PointsBet, he was a part of the global gaming technologies provider, Aristocrat Leisure Limited, where he served as chief technology officer and executive vice president.
Another leadership change involves Dr. Jerry Bowskill, who will join PointsBet as group chief technology officer, taking over from Gombra-Singh, effective from July 18, 2022. Dr. Bowskill joins the company after holding leadership positions with Capital International Group, Scientific Games and The Stars Group. Moreover, his professional tenure includes senior leadership roles with Partis Solutions and Playtech.
PointsBet Selects New Australian CEO
The recent leadership change will see PointsBet’s chairman, Brett Paton, transition to a non-executive director role. Speaking about the recent change, Paton acknowledged that Gombra-Singh helped PointsBet reach a new level within the iGaming industry. In conclusion, Paton said that without any doubt, Gombra-Singh will continue to help the company grow.

The leadership change will see Andrew Catterall join PointsBet as Australian CEO. His appointment will be effective as of July 4, 2022. Most recently, Catterall served as CEO of Racing.com. During his tenure at Racing.com, Catterall spearheaded its transformational and commercial growth. He also has leadership experience as a part of the Australian Football League (AFL) and Racing Victoria.
