Australian-based online betting and gaming brand PointsBet announced today its proprietary online casino platform is now live in New Jersey, adding to the brand’s wagering product suite in the state.
Online Casino Expansion
The launch of PointsBet’s iGaming platform in New Jersey made the state the second US jurisdiction where the online casino operator’s offering is now available to players, adding to the proprietary wagering product suite that consists of a fixed odds sportsbook and PointsBetting platform.
“We are thrilled to be able to expand our iGaming presence in the United States and bring our proprietary online casino product to the robust New Jersey market. The continued growth of our iGaming presence further advances our ability to acquire and retain premium clients, complementing our existing sports wagering products.”
Sam Swanell, Group CEO and Managing Director, PointsBet
PointsBet online casino debuted in the US in May after a launch in Michigan made the brand the 13th online gambling operator to offer iGaming in the Great Lakes State. Earlier in the year, PointsBet launched its online sportsbook in Michigan.
“I am proud of our iGaming team for a successful expansion into New Jersey following what has been a tremendous introduction of our proprietary online casino product in Michigan. We are excited for what the future holds and welcome the opportunity to continuously improve and expand the online casino presence at PointsBet.”
Manjit Gombra Singh, President, Product and Technology, PointsBet
Online casino markets in the US are picking up speed parallel to sports betting, with revenues generated in the second quarter in the four states in which PointsBet acquired iGaming market access, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, amounting to nearly $900 million. Considered on an annual basis, that points to more than $3.5 billion.
Establish US Market Presence
Having debuted in the US in New Jersey in January 2019 by launching its sports betting product, PointsBet is now an established industry name not only in the Garden State, but nationwide. Having a proprietary technology platform allows the brand to truly own its roadmap and gain the edge over competitors, most of which outsource their core functions from third-party providers.
The operator’s online sportsbook is now operational in New Jersey, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois and Colorado – PointsBet decided to set its North American headquarters in the Rocky Mountain State.
Recently, the Australian online gaming brand acquired market access in Maryland, via deal with Riverboat Group, and Arizona, after an agreement with Cliff Castle Casino Hotel.
