Oakvale Capital has tapped Elliot Berg as its new vice president. Berg has held multiple positions at some of the biggest iGaming and betting companies, including Rank Interactive and Stride Gaming where he was director of corporate development.
New Hire to Strengthen Oakvale Capital Operations
Commenting on his appointment, Oakvale Capital welcomed the new hire and said that his experiences with mergers and acquisitions would prove invaluable. The company hailed the new appointment as a “natural fit” for the company and praised his understanding of the sports, gaming, and mobile gaming spaces.
For his part, Berg is joining the company with a good deal of experience under his belt. He was director of the corporate at Rank Interactive and also held a four-year stint with Stride Gaming as the firm’s director of strategy and corporate development through October 2019 when he decided to join Rank.
His previous experience includes an appointment at Aspers Online and Passion Gaming, an Indian iGaming firm specializing in the development of rummy, a popular game with Indian audiences. Berg’s appointment comes in the midst of a strong expansion for Oakvale Capital.
The boutique advisory firm has been able to attract a number of prominent figures from the iGaming and business world, including Daniel Burns and Sandford Loudon, partners in the company, and others such as Ines Bedoya and Yasser Rashid.
Oakvale focuses on assisting companies with mergers and acquisitions deals and other important business aspects. The consultancy was involved in IGT’s acquisition of iSoftBet and Broadway Gaming’s most recent purchase of 888bingo, the 888 Holdings UK-based bingo platform.
