Nordisk Games, the company that provides growth capital, strategic guidance and operational support, announced it hired the services of Ebba Ljungerud.
Industry Veteran Ebba Ljungerud Joins Nordisk Games’ Board of Directors
The announcement sees Ljungerud join Nordisk Games’ Board of Directors. As a part of the company, she will oversee its existing partnerships with studios and the company’s portfolio of partners. Moreover, Ljungerud will help with new partnerships, strategic investments and support Nordisk’s leadership team.
Sharing her excitement, Ljungerud acknowledged that it is thrilling to join Nordisk Games. She pointed out that a key goal for the company is to help its partner studios create the best games. Ebba Ljungerud
Overall, Ljungerud has more than two decades of experience within the gaming industry. Before joining Nordisk Games, she most recently was a part of Paradox Interactive, a leading global publisher of strategy games for PC. During her tenure at Paradox, Ljungerud held the position of CEO for more than three years, while for four years she was a non-executive director of the company’s Board.
Her professional background includes more than eight years with the leading online gambling operator, Kindred Group. For two years and six months, she served as a chief commercial officer at Kindred until July 2018, but she has also taken the position of CPO and CCO. Besides Paradox and Kindred, Ljungerud was also a part of Betsson as country manager as well as vice president at Cosmos Communications, a leading printing, direct mail and digital marketing company.

Nordisk Games is a company that invests in European game studios. It is owned by Nordisk Film, a leading Nordic entertainment company. Since it was founded in 2016, Nordisk Games has been continuously expanding its portfolio of partners. By now, the company has minor and major stakes in leading game studios such as Nitro Games, MercurySteam, Avalanche Studios Group, Star Stable Entertainment, Supermassive Games as well as Flashbulb Games.
