Wazdan Gets Go-Ahead from Ontario Gaming Regulator
Wazdan has received a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). This means that the casino games supplier is the latest to enter the fast-developing Canadian province. Wazdan will provide its distinct portfolio of games to local operators. As a reminder, Canada launched igaming and interactive sports betting markets for the private sectors in April.
Creating Value for Licensed Operators
This makes for 20 regulated markets in which Wazdan operates. The company’s products will now rapidly make their way to some of the leading local casino brands. Wazdan similarly has licenses and runs its business operations out of places such as Michigan, West Virginia, and New Jersey in the United States. Wazdan CEO Michal Imiolek welcomed the opportunity to be launching its product offer in Ontario and added:
“We’re hugely excited to be a part of this newly regulated igaming market. Ontario promises to be one of the biggest markets in North America and this move adds massively to our growing foothold in the region.”
Wazdan CEO Michal Imiolek
Imiolek argued that already-licensed operators in Ontario would benefit from the gambling experience. Wazdan has been actively adding to its portfolio of games with one of the latest releases being Hot Slot 777 Crown. The company also teamed up with Scientific Games at the beginning of the year, seeking more markets to distribute its products.
