Sky Racing to Utilize AmTote for North American Greyhound Race Coverage

Sky Racing World, a subsidiary of Tabcorp, has signed a deal with North American 1/ST TECHNOLOGY to utilize its AmTote International platform.

Sky Racing World to Integrate AmTote International Platform

Sky Racing World, a subsidiary of Tabcorp, has signed a partnership deal with North American 1/ST TECHNOLOGY to enhance its North American presence through the latter’s AmTote International platform. Tabcorp’s betting business is a leading omnichannel solution, with a strong international footprint in Europe and the US.

Under the deal, AmTote will extend into Australian racing while enhancing its presence in the Southern Hemisphere with Sky Racing World, a “premier digital source for live video broadcasts, data and premium tipping content” for the region.

Sky Racing World will integrate AmTote as its betting platform, to first integrate international commingling into Australian racing hosts’ pools for greyhound racing from the North American market. The new partnership will allow “the commingling tote pools” to continue to thrive.

AmTote for Easy Commingling into Australian Pools

1/ST TECHNOLOGY Chief Revenue Officer Keith Johnson said that AmTote is proud to expand its collaboration with Sky Racing World and Tabcorp. The company looks forward to providing an intuitive betting network for the Australian greyhound market and more racing content to North American and international operators.

Sky Racing World CEO David Haslett added, “Sky Racing World is looking forward to expanding its menu of premium international racing content in North America with the introduction of commingling on Australian greyhound racing.”

1/ST TECHNOLOGY and AmTote support the growth of racing in key markets. The wagering platform technology makes commingling into Australian pools easy and boosts growth and diversification of revenues for the Australian greyhound racing industry.

This latest deal marks a significant expansion for AmTote and 1/ST TECHNOLOGY’s global reach. Gulfstream Park, Woodbine, Aqueduct, Belmont Park, Saratoga Race Course and Santa Anita Park have already utilized AmTote.

Tabcorp’s Units Are No Longer for Sale

This deal comes at an interesting time for Tabcorp as its units were recently up for sale. Among the leaders in the competitions were Entain with $2.5 billion and BetMakers with $3 billion. However, early in July, the company rejected all bids for its wagering businesses and announced it would spin off its business (Lotteries & KenoCo business) into two ASX-listed companies. That put an end to BetMakers’ acquisition offer.

Sky Racing World will keep its predominant exclusive rights of live racing distribution from Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, Japan and South Africa, including other territories, such as the Americas and Caribbean.
