Playmaker’s Futbol Sites Breaks Ground in West Virginia

Futbol Sites continues to build up its reach in the regulated media and sports betting market as the company has obtained a seventh license in West Virginia.

Hispanic Focused Media Futbol Sites Enters WV

Playmaker Capital’s sports media subsidiary, Futbol Sites, has made another stride in the US market, consolidating the company’s presence in the country. Futbol Sites has received its seventh market gaming vendor license, with the company already setting shop in several jurisdictions in the US, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Colorado, New Jersey, Tennessee and now West Virginia. The company is on a tear after it went public last month and tapped Jake Cassaday as its new chief operating officer.

Futbol Sites takes a pivotal place in the US media and entertainment market, with a particular focus on sports events, as the company has four million unique visitors each month, outstripping all other Hispanic media properties in the country. That places it ahead of ESPNDeportes.com and Univision Sports, the company explained in an official press release. Futbol Sites is also expanding its range of affiliate partnerships in the sports betting market through deals with PointsBetbet365DraftKings and BetMGM

Futbol Sites is on a mission to continue developing its footprint and identity with the Hispanic audiences in the USA, said chief executive Federico Grinberg. According to him, obtaining a seventh license along with the newly-minted affiliate partnerships is an important step forward in bringing significant products to the media’s target audience.

Playmaker CEO Jordan Gnat is confident that his company and the fully-owned subsidiary are the most capable entities to deliver desired content. “In the US, we continue to expand our reach with additional assets and partnerships as we execute our roll-up strategy and leverage the incredible team of nearly 200 people that we have in place today,” Gnat noted.

Growth in Brazil Continues as Country Prepares to Regulate Betting

Playmaker has been working to actively consolidate its standing in the media and sports betting space. The company launched a second major brand in Brazil earlier this year. Somos Fanáticos has been established in preparation for the upcoming regulated sports betting market in Brazil.

Grinberg commented at the time that through the establishment of more local brands, Futbol Sites was allowing itself to remain a key partner to sports betting companies in Brazil. Meanwhile, Bolavip Brazil, Playmaker’s first brand in the region, managed to generate significant traffic of 15.4 million unique visitors in May 2021, signaling the enormous potential of the brand.
