DFS Operator PrizePicks Has a New Deal in the Works with the Atlanta Falcons
July is at our doorsteps, which means that fall is right around the corner. To some, that might not mean much, but to the other 98% of us, it can only mean one thing – football is almost here. NFL, college and high school football teams and fans, as they do every year, are anxiously awaiting the sound of the first whistle and the roar of the crowds. This year will be a little different as things seemingly return to normal following the COVID-19 fiasco, which will allow more fans in the stands and more raucous crowds cheering on their favorite teams. PrizePicks, the independent daily fantasy sports (DFS) provider, is bringing its unique style to football this year, announcing a new partnership with the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.
DFS Finds a Place with the Atlanta Falcons
PrizePicks and the Falcons have signed a one-year partnership that will see the DFS provider have a prominent position with the team. It will be featured across digital and social media efforts, as well as serve as the presenting sponsor of the team’s “Gameday Predictions” series that runs on Instagram. That series is a prediction-based poll that runs in conjunction with the team’s games each week, allowing fans to use their football skills to forecast a player’s performance.
The DFS operator, which is based out of Atlanta, will also be giving away tickets to some home games, as well as “Terrapin Tailgate” passes. However, while those benefits would certainly be welcome by any fan, there’s another component to the partnership that is even better. PrizePicks and the Falcons are working together to bring up to 500 people to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for fantasy football drafts. The event will be held on September 8 in the stadium’s Delta Sky360 Club, and will include attendance by Falcons cheerleaders and some “Falcons legends.” Names of the individuals who might be present haven’t been revealed.
PrizePicks Grows Footprint Across the US
PrizePicks has been making waves in the DFS and sports gambling markets and is now accessible by over 60% of the US population. It has expanded its reach significantly this year, creating new agreements and signing new partnerships that have allowed it to attract more attention. Reported to be the third-largest DFS provider in the country, its growth rate will see it move up quickly.
PrizePicks CEO Adam Wexler adds of the newest partnership with the Falcons, “Arthur Blank built Home Depot from the ground up here in Atlanta before going on to own the Falcons, and his commitment to the city and region has never wavered. We like to believe PrizePicks shares some of that DNA, and we believe this partnership can not only benefit our respective fans and customers but also help cement a new major B2C brand from the city of Atlanta, something which would reinforce its reputation as a technology hot spot.”
