Consumer Electronics Show Receives Support by Las Vegas Operators

More than two dozen operators in Las Vegas showed support for the online version of the Consumer Electronics Show by displaying a marquee message before the start of the show. Although the annual event is usually held in Las Vegas, this year’s edition is online because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Operators in Las Vegas Show Support for CES

Las Vegas has been a home for the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for more than four decades now. However, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s edition of the event is being held online. The annual event launched on Monday this week and will run through Thursday.

Supporting the CES event, resorts and attractions across Las Vegas organized a marquee display for hours before the start of the annual show. The message was displayed on the evening of January 10 by more than two dozen operators on the Las Vegas Strip as well as downtown. “We miss you and can’t wait to welcome you back in 2022,” said the message supporting the CES event.

Harrah’s Las Vegas, ARIA Resort & Casino, Circa Resort & Casino, Bally’s, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Bellagio, Excalibur Hotel & Casino, Fremont Street Experience, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, Luxor Hotel & Casino, Caesars Palace were among the attractions that participated in the marquee display.

Furthermore, the initiative received the support of The LINQ Hotel + Experience, The Cromwell, Mirage, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Park MGM, Resorts World Las Vegas, MGM Grand, New York – New York, Paris Las Vegas, and many more Las Vegas resorts.

Las Vegas Awaits CES in 2022

In a statement, Steve Hill, LVCVA President and CEO, said that CES is one of the largest and longest-standing conventions in Las Vegas. He added that both the organizers and the attendees are missed for not being able to attend this year. In conclusion, Mr. Hill wished the CES team a successful virtual show.

The Consumer Technology Association’s President and CEO, Gary Shapiro, also commented on the topic deeming the partnership with Las Vegas as “invaluable”. Furthermore, he added that for decades the city’s hotels, workers, and community have welcomed CES “with an outpouring of hospitality“. In conclusion, Mr. Shapiro said that CES is looking forward “to returning in 2022 and having a five-sense experience that includes the magic of Vegas“.
