BetKing, a gambling and sports betting subsidiary of the KingMakers Group, has committed to healthy gambling. The operator officially joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and will fight against fraud in the industry.

BetKing Joins the IBIA

BetKing has demonstrated its support of a healthy global betting industry by joining the IBIA. As part of the Association, the African-oriented operator will help it watch over the regulated market and prevent fraud. Notably, it will stand against corruption, money laundering and all other kinds of financial crime. BetKing will also help the watchdog curb match-fixing in sports and will work alongside it to ensure a safe, legal and responsible betting experience for its clients.

Karim Fatih, the head of trading operations for BetKing, shared his thoughts on the matter. According to him, the company and its team are looking forward to working with the IBIA and fighting against fraud in gambling. Fatih is glad about the opportunity to support a healthier gambling industry.

We are delighted to have joined the fight against corruption in sport and look forward to working with IBIA and our colleagues across the industry in tackling match-fixing and all associated fraudulent activity.

BetKing – A Regional Powerhouse

BetKing is a subsidiary of the KingMakers Group. The company launched in 2018 and has since targeted the African market with its diverse selection of gambling and sports betting offerings. Since its establishment, BetKing has launched in Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya and Nigeria.

BetKing recently signed a deal with Intelitics, a provider of scalable customer acquisition solutions for iGaming brands. Because of that, Intelitics was able to foray into the African market and support BetKing with its critically-acclaimed customer acquisition and retention solutions.

The IBIA Grows Its Influence

The IBIA is the biggest association that promotes healthy gambling and opposes crime in the industry. The Association is comprised of various operators that have joined forces to stand against fraud. Many of the biggest brands in the industry are members of the IBIA. According to estimates, the IBIA members are responsible for almost half of the online betting activity.

Thanks to its monitoring and alert platform, the regulated market can prevent numerous crimes. Usually, those can range from match-fixing in sports to money laundering and organized crime in casinos. The tool reports any suspicious behavior and helps to mitigate its damage to the industry. Furthermore, the IBIA partners with many of the regulators in gambling and sports. It is in the perfect position to monitor the industry and stop crime.
