Following the entry of NetEnt on the Swiss market earlier this month, the company is taking another step towards growing. Their plan is to expand in Colombia’s regulated iGaming market with Rush Street Interactive. Brian Kraft, head of the commercial, at NetEnt Americas LLC, has commented on the move:

Colombian regulator Coljuegos Allows Live Casino Games

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to spread worldwide. Total cases reported for Colombia are 3792, of which some 711 patients have recovered.

This places the country far from the chart top which is led by USA with 764,000 reported cases. With the novel coronavirus pandemic in the backdrop, the Colombian regulator Coljuegos is making changes in the gambling industry. The current lockdown of the country is planned to end on April 27, unless extended further.

The regulator announced that the country’s licensed gambling operators can start offering live dealer games. This shows that Coljuegos is trying to strengthen the thinning gambling market.

All of the 16 licensed gambling operators in Colombia will be allowed to take part in the live games, providing that they follow the rules set out by the gambling regulator.

NetEnt has chosen its next growth destination well as Coljuegos also announced a package of measures designed to protect the iGaming industry. The regulator will defer fees from online casinos for a couple of months or reduce them to 50%.
