N1 Bet Backs “Beyond the Summit” Pro Series Season 8

Sports betting operator N1 Bet has teamed up with Beyond the Summit to back up the popular Dota 2 event host and begin developing its esports platform.

N1 Bet Partners up with Beyond the Summit

Online sport betting site N1 Bet has teamed up with the Beyond the Summit Pro Series Dota 2 tournament to boost its visibility among esports fans. Esports began picking up in 2020 when much of the sports calendar was decimated by the ongoing pandemic.

In the months to follow, sportsbooks reported strong engagement in their esports betting segment, citing FIFA, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike as key drivers of interest and growth.

N1 Bet is riding on this trend by bolstering its own offer in the vertical and introducing a dedicated section focused on competitive video gaming. The website will further offer free bets for players third, seventh and tenth wagers which will be applicable to both sports and esports contests.

Commenting on this partnership, N1 Partners Group CPO Yaroslav Laptev noted that the group was pleased to be teaming up with Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season Eight. BSP is one of the most significant organizers of tournaments and streaming events in Dota 2.

More Brands Backing Esports Are Welcome

Founded in March 2012, BTS has allocated over $4,122,357 in prize pools and has been expanding in other events beyond its native Dota 2.

“We hope that players will enjoy the special bonus offer we’ve prepared for the tournament. We guarantee the simplicity, convenience, and quality of service of the N1 Bet project platform,” Laptev added.

Esports is a booming market with esports betting still eluding definition, although some operators have said there is a pent-up demand for the vertical. The market is still behind sports and casino segments, but it’s picking up pace. Beyond the Summit VP of sales and marketing, Michelle Cheng welcomed N1 and said that it’s always welcome when new brands show interest in Dota 2.

“We are happy to have N1 Bet on board at Pro Series 8 and can’t wait for the exciting gameplays to unfold,” Cheng explained. While betting partnerships have been proliferating in esports, not everyone is completely comfortable with it.

Valve has urged esports teams not to accept betting sponsorships, and not to display their signage on player jerseys. The appellation seems to have fallen on deaf ears as many teams are currently contracting a betting site as their sponsor.
