Genius Sports and MLR Sign an Exclusive Betting Partnership
Leading sports data technology company, Genius Sports Group (GSG) became an official sports betting partner of Major League Rugby (MLR). The partnership, announced on Tuesday this week, grants GSG exclusive official sports betting data and betting streaming rights.
Consequently, under the agreement, GSG received the rights to capture, manage, and distribute official League data to sportsbooks in North America and Worldwide. With that in mind, the strategic agreement comes days before the MLR 2021 season kick-off on March 20.
CBS Sports Network, FS1, and FS2 are going to air MLR’s matches. On the other hand, games that would not be broadcasted over those channels will be available via live stream on GSG’s leading network of sportsbook partners.
The League Has Utmost Confidence in GSG
MLR commissioner, George Killebrew, acknowledged that the regulated betting market is interested in betting on MLR games. Consequently, the league has taken proactive measures to safeguard the integrity and ensure the transparency of the events. In conclusion, Killebrew said that MLR has “utmost confidence” in GSG to manage the league’s data and deliver it to their sportsbook partners.

Furthermore, Locke acknowledged that the Wallabies legend Adam Ashley-Cooper and Chris Robshaw, a former England captain are among the players for the upcoming season. After that, GSG announced that it renewed its long-term partnership with Australia’s Hungry Jack National Basketball League (NBL). Furthermore, GSG has also announced multi-state, multi-year data partnership with Wynn Bet back in mid-February.
