Maxima Compliance Hires Burgoyne and de Graaff to Expand Team

Provider of regulatory and technical compliance services for the betting and gaming industry Maxima Compliance announced today two new senior hires to its ranks, Andrew Burgoyne filling the Head of Regulatory position and Mike de Graaff joining as the firm’s Regional Compliance Manager for the Netherlands.

International Talent Applied Locally

New Maxima Compliance additions Burgoyne and de Graaff underline the company’s global approach to recruiting local talent, looking to provide better services to international partners by offering them on-the-ground knowledge and expertise.

Delighted to welcome Burgoyne and de Graaff, Maxima Compliance chief executive officer Antonio Zanghi explained the basics of the company’s core recruitment strategy.

“We are focused on both expanding our global team of regulatory and technical compliance experts, while also adding regional managers who can deliver local knowledge and support directly to clients,” Zanghi noted, pointing to the “benefits of this approach” Maxima partners around the world already enjoy.

New hires Burgoyne and de Graaff bring invaluable industry experience to the company, acquired while serving in similar roles at established gaming industry brands.

Burgoyne joins Maxima after more than three years as Head of Risk at global gambling group Flutter Entertainment. Before joining FTSE100-listed Flutter, he served at Sky and the Advertising Standards Authority. At his new company, Burgoyne will be stationed at Maxima’s headquarters in London.

“It is a pleasure to join a team with unparalleled expertise across compliance. Maxima is already assisting some of the biggest names in gaming with their regulatory compliance needs, and I look forward to further raising the bar for our partners when it comes to this critical business function.”

Maxima’s new Regional Compliance Manager for the Netherlands de Graaff is joining the business after serving in risk and compliance roles at gaming operators ComeOn! and Betclic Group.

He will be tasked with regulatory oversight and technical compliance for Maxima’s partners on the newly regulated market in the Netherlands as the company is looking to support their efforts to optimize the regulatory aspects of their businesses.

“I’m thrilled to join the Maxima Compliance team, and I’m particularly excited to help build our presence in the Netherlands from this new office. This is a challenging but high-reward market, where those who draw upon local expertise are already outpacing the competition.”
