Manchester City is undefeated in the English Premier League since October. Can Tottenham put an end to Sky Blue’s superb EPL run? We’ll find out this Saturday when the two meet at Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
Online sportsbooks see Manchester City as a clear favorite for several reasons. For instance, this team has all wins at home in the past 10 games and is without a home loss to Tottenham since 2016. Further, Manchester City has been playing much better soccer than Tottenham this season.
Still, no one can deny that the spurs have plenty of talent on their roster. With Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, and others, this team seems capable of making things hard for literally any team in the world. This is why Manchester City vs Tottenham is a must-watch game!

Manchester City Making Another Claim on the EPL Title
Since Sheikh Mansour bought Manchester City in 2008, the club has spent over $1.8 billion on signings. With so much money invested, the boss demands results. So far, his team’s been doing really well in the Premier League, winning the title five times since the takeover. As things currently stand, the Sky Blues are on the road to adding another EPL trophy to the collection.
This team is sitting in the #1 position at the moment with 63 points after playing 25 games. The Sky Blues are nine points clear of Liverpool, the team that’s right behind them in the standings. However, the Reds have played one game fewer, meaning that they could reduce the point gap to just six.
What this means is that the title race is far from over. Manchester City will need to continue playing well in order to secure it. The good news is that Pep Guardiola’s boys have been phenomenal this season, not just in the Prem but in all the competitions they’re competing in.
Earlier this week, for example, the Sky Blues obliterated Sporting in the Champions League. Despite playing on the road, they won 5-0. It was their eighth game this season that they scored five goals or more. This time, they’re playing on their turf in the EPL. Are we going to see another blowout win?
Tottenham Not Doing Great Right Now
Tottenham lost its previous three Premier League games – against Chelsea, Southampton, and Wolves. As a result, the Spurs have dropped to the #8 position, and their manager doesn’t believe they can improve much by the end of the season.
In an interview he gave in his native Italy, the Spurs’ boss Antonio Conte said he believed the chance of Tottenham finishing in the top four is one percent. He also complained about the club’s transfer policy, suggesting that despite singing Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, Tottenham is even weaker than before the January transfer window.
With their manager feeling down, it’s likely that the Spurs players aren’t going to do too well. On the other hand, this team does have some amazing players on the roster with the talent to slay such giants as Manchester City.
One of them is Tottenham’s captain Harry Kane. Despite his poor form in the 2021-22 season, Kane remains one of the greatest strikers of his generation. Then, there’s also Heung-Min Son, who’s been Tottenham’s leading scorer this season. He was the man who scored the only goal in the Tottenham vs Man City game in the first half of the season.
These guys surely have the skills to score at least once on Saturday. Unfortunately, that probably isn’t going to be enough – Man City players are likely to outscore them.
Picks: Manchester city to Win; Over 3.5 Goals
