Liverpool and Wolves meet on the Premier League final day. The Merseyside Reds need a win to challenge the EPL title, although even a win on Sunday isn’t a guarantee they’d win the trophy. Still, they got no other option but to try and beat Wolves in the final round.

Liverpool Still Dreaming of the Title
Twenty-five of the 30 Premier League seasons saw the winner finish with 92 points or more. Unfortunately for Liverpool, finishing with 92 points might not be enough to clinch the 2022 title. It’s because everything is in the hands of Manchester City.
This, however, doesn’t mean the Merseyside Reds aren’t going to try. They’re going to go for a win on Sunday, hoping that it’s going to be enough to leapfrog Man City to the top of the EPL table.
So, can they beat Wolves? Sure they can – they did it in each of their previous six duels.
Still, it probably isn’t going to be an easy game as the visitors are pretty good in the defense.
Wolves to Defend With All They Got?
Wolves have been in horrible for over the last two months. From mid-March, they’ve won just one game, drawing two, and losing five along the way.
Still, despite the poor run, this team will finish in the upper half of the table. They’re currently in the #8 position, with the worst-case scenario being the #10 position.
The key to their relatively decent success in the 2021-222 EPL season is their good performance in the defense. This team has conceded just 40 goals in 37 games, which is better than 15 other Premier League teams.
Liverpool vs Wolves Prediction
Just six days after the game with Wolves, Liverpool plays in the final of the UEFA Champions League. That’s the game that really matters to Jurgen Klopp’s men. This, however, doesn’t mean they don’t care about the EPL final-day match. They want to win that match, hoping that their title rival is going to fail.
What they’re not going to do is risk injuries to their key players. Because of this, you can be sure they’re not going to try to demolish Wolves on Sunday. Instead, a win by a goal or two is what’s on their agenda.
Pick: Liverpool to win; under 2.5 goals
