Jean-Luc Adam won Event #58: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em last week. As the winner of the event, he took home his first WSOP bracelet. Besides the bracelet, the $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit event brought him a hefty $255,623 prize.
Overall, some 1,893 seniors joined the event. The prize pool that was accumulated from the entries hit $1,685,660. Some 283 players that participated in the event cashed. From that total, 65 tried to win the bracelet, but Adam proved to be the best of them.
Poker Runs in the Family
Back in 2019, Adam won his first WSOP Circuit ring. He participated in an event in Saint Martin and collected the ring along with a first-place prize which was $10,500. A few days after Adam senior won his ring, his son, Cedric Adam also won a WSOP Circuit ring from an event in Saint Martin.

Sharing his excitement, Adam senior spoke with PokerNews and told the publication his son was a good poker player. In fact, it was junior who taught him how to play. The 69-year-old player acknowledged that he was very excited about his recent win and stressed that the most important thing in his life is family.

Additionally, Adam outlined that he was relaxed during the tournament and remained focused on playing every hand. He added that it is an exciting moment to win the tournament. In conclusion, the poker pro revealed that he is very happy.

Event #58: Final Table Action
From the 65 players who wanted to go for the bracelet, halfway through the day only 27 remained. As more players hit the rail, there were a total of 10 for the final table. David Slaughter was the 10th player to hit the rail followed by Gary Pagel who ranked 9th. While Slaughter collected an $18,837 prize, Pagel went home with $23,762.
Reginald Powell was the player that ranked 8th and collected a $30,269 prize. On the other hand, 7th place brought Girish Apte a $38,932 prize. Joseph Richards ranked 6th and collected a $50,559 prize. He was followed by Alex Katsman who took home $66,284 for ranking 5th. The 4th place belonged to Bill Stabler that won $87,722, while Scott Sukstorf ranked 3rd and took home $117,181.
The heads-up game was between Adam and Eugene Salomon. While Salomon was going for a straight, the river was a blank, which resulted in a win for Adam who had two pairs. In the end, Salomon ranked 2nd and took home $157,986.
