Interactive Gaming Group, a media technology company operating out of Malta and Spain, announced today the appointment of Alex Haywood as its new chief technology officer.

Former head of engineering at Evolution Gaming Alex Haywood is joining streaming-focused iGaming business Interactive Gaming Group (IGG) as CTO, to leverage two decades of experience gained at hyper-growth companies and help create streaming success stories for the media technology company.

Cristina Niculae, the company’s CEO, outlined the hard efforts put in by IGG’s team to “bring to life more interactive experiences driven by creators via live streaming,” hinting that a new product is set to launch by the end of the year.
“Interactive Gaming Group has experienced rapid growth driven by the immense demand in the recently developing streaming ecosystem and by our strategy of connecting creators, viewers and brands on a global scale,” the business is “perfectly positioned to capitalize on the growth opportunities available,” Niculae concluded.

Responsible for IGG’s technology development strategy, Haywood will look to drive growth and further develop the company’s technological capabilities by focusing on video streaming, the area of IGG’s expertise.
