Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has sealed a new partnership with News Corp UK & Ireland, which will see the companies deliver sports betting and casino content along with a few exclusive offers that will be available to UK customers. News Corp UK & Ireland owns prominent brands in the market, such as talkSPORT and The Sun which makes for perfect synergies between the two partners.
GiG Teams up with News Corp UK & Ireland for Dedicated Gaming Coverage
Both talkSPORT and The Sun will have dedicated sections on their respective websites to ensure that the offers are visible, and anyone interested in the content can access it freely. The companies will first work on the 2022 FIFA World Cup coverage which is running over the next three weeks in Qatar. Commenting on the partnership, GiG chief marketing officer Jonas Warrer noted:
A collaboration of this magnitude will allow us to provide added value to our partners in the sports betting and casino sphere, reaching new heights while showcasing our abilities to operate at a top-tier level.

The partnership was welcomed on an equally upbeat note by The Sun director of betting and gaming, Tim Reynolds, who explained that the publication’s dedicated betting hub is part of its ambitious expansion into digital space. Through this collaboration, The Sun will have the opportunity to deliver excellent results for bookmaker partners.
This media partnership is not unlike the one signed just earlier this week between Newsweek and XLMedia which teamed up to bring bespoke content to sports betting aficionados in the United States. Newsweek, which has a monthly readership in the United States of 50 million people, will begin featuring content by XLMedia’s Sports Betting Dime.
