Fun88 has successfully launched in Vietnam after it updated the link to its fun88zone.net website from its Philippine server. With this development, Vietnamese players will be able to enjoy all of Fun88’s services, which include both casino and sportsbook offerings.
The App Is Free to Download and Has Multi-Language Support
The app, which will feature poker, lottery, blackjack, slots, baccarat, virtual sports betting and sports betting, will be free to download. Its multilingual live chat support will be able to help players in the following languages: Vietnamese, English, Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Indonesian.
In terms of payments, players will be able to use local Vietnamese banks, Agribank ACB, Vietinbank, MOMO, Scratch card, as well as Viettel Pay to make a deposit. Funds are withdrawn to main bank accounts and as a way to ensure safety and security, Fun88 will ask for verification documents.
Apart from the live chat, customer support at Fun88 can be reached via email (cs.viet@fun88.com) and at (+63) 9155 000 184.
Fun88’s launch in Vietnam follows the operator’s entrance into the Thai market via Fun888.TV. In a statement, the company noted that Asian players have “little access” to the latest developments in sports tournaments, esports and soccer, and that is exactly what the Fun888.TV platform will provide them with.
Furthermore, it noted that the information website is created with the purpose to satisfy the needs of players and bettors that are looking to stay informed about the latest industry developments.
Fun88’s Soccer Sponsorships May Go Down the Drain
Apart from providing players with top-notch betting and gambling content, Fun88 is also the sponsor of one of the biggest soccer clubs in the Premier League. The two parties celebrated their 10-year partnership in November 2021, but this partnership faces the risk of being canceled.
Recently, the Premier League has asked all clubs to voluntarily ban betting sponsors on their jerseys. According to Sky News, Premier League officials reached out to the clubs at the start of July. According to the proposal, already existing deals between the teams and betting operators would be allowed, but under the condition that they expire no later than the 2024/25 season.
Premier League’s rules state that if this proposal is accepted by at least 14 clubs, it will be effective immediately. An anonymous club executive reportedly stated that the ban would be permanent, but it would be subject to a clause in which it could be overturned.
A DCMS spokesperson denied to comment on the development, but said that DCMS is undertaking the biggest review of gambling laws in the UK in the last 15 years to make sure that “they are fit for the digital age.” He ended by saying that a white paper will be published “in the coming weeks.”
