Full House Resorts Presented Its New American Place Expansion Plans
Soon after the Illinois Gaming Board approved Full House’s proposal to build a casino in Waukegan, the company began working on the future casino site. Full House Resorts will be purchasing approximately 10 acres of land that will be added to 30 acres that will be leased from Waukegan for its upcoming casino. The new purchase of land will help the company offer extra parking spaces while providing visitors with access to the site from a major road nearby.
Full House also plans on buying a Sprung tent structure with an approximate area the size of one and a half football fields. The tent will be used as the temporary casino site at American Place as the permanent structure is still under construction. The casino that will receive the name The Temporary by American Place will be home to a massive selection of 1,000 slot machines, along with 50 table games, a bar at the center, and three restaurants, including a fine-dining facility.
The tent structure will reach the site somewhere between the end of March and the end of April. The Temporary may open sometime in the summer, while still waiting for official approvals from gaming authorities. On March 15, Full House Resorts will organize a career fair and initiate interviews for candidates for the jobs that will become available at the new casino.
According to its preliminary Q4 2021 results released at the end of January, Full House Resorts expects its total revenues for the said quarter to be in the $43 million – $43.5 million range, marking a $4 million increase compared to the same period of 2020. The funding for The Temporary casino was successfully completed on February 7 when the company closed its private offering of $100 million aggregate principal amount of the 8.25% Senior Secured Notes that are due in 2028. On the same day, Full House gave its borrowing capacity a boost from $15 million to $40 million, with an interest rate set below the 4% mark.
