FuboTV Announces Fresh Trio of Executive Appointments
Sports streaming giant that offers betting services FuboTV has appointed three new executives to oversee its content, partnerships, and business growth. The decision is effective immediately and comes after the company brought Julie Haddon to its board of directors at the end of March. At the beginning of May, FuboTV announced that it was working on a “follow the audience” option that would enable its consumers to maximize the time they spend watching sports. During the same month, the company reported a 102.2% year-on-year revenue growth for Q1 and double net losses caused by an increase in spending.
Todd Mathers Is FuboTV’s New Content Strategy Senior Vice President
Todd Mathers is the company’s new senior vice president. He will also be responsible for improving FuboTV’s content and acquisition strategies while reporting to chief business officer Henry Ahn. Mathers’ job will also ask him to realign all licensing costs for the company’s current and future partners while enriching Fubo’s list of sports, news, and entertainment options. What recommends him for the position? For starters, the lawyer whose career took off at Sony Pictures is also Verizon’s former head of content strategy and business development. His position there helped him accumulate a lot of experience in content acquisition on all types of platforms, packaging, pricing, and affiliate programs.
Prior to reaching Verizon, Mathers spent two decades with AT&T and DIRECTV where he was responsible for creating and launching a series of streaming platforms including AT&T Tv and Watch TV.
Ben Grad, the New Senior Vice President
Grad originally joined FuboTV five years ago and his new position as senior vice president and head of strategic partnerships and operations will have him report straight to co-founder and chief executive officer David Gandler. He will be responsible for creating and managing important external partnerships as well as a series of internal cross-functional strategies. Prior to reaching Fubo, Grad held similar positions for Fuse, Verizon, Universal Music Group, and Time Warner.
Andrew Steinberg Is FuboTV’s New Vice President
Steinberg will also manage the business development department while also reporting to Henry Ahn. His main requirements will include the management and growth of the company’s distribution networks, as well as the creation of fresh business opportunities with existing partners including Google, Amazon Fire, Samsung Tv, Apple, and Roku. Before joining FuboTV’s team, Steinberg was Goldin’s director and business development and partnerships specialist. He also prides himself with over two decades in the media and entertainment industry, where he held reputable positions for Paramount Pictures, Discovery Inc., or TEGNA.
FuboTV is eager to tap into the trio’s remarkable experience and know-how to expand its multi-platform sports entertainment content while offering more appealing consumer costs and offering added value for shareholders.
