Flutter Names Lisa Sewell Chief People and Operations Officer

The global gambling group, Flutter Entertainment, hired the services of industry veteran, Lisa Sewell.

Flutter Appoints Lisa Sewell Chief People and Operations Officer

Effective from Monday, June 11, 2022, Sewell was appointed as the company’s new chief people and operations officer. In her new position as a part of Flutter, she will be spearheading the company’s human resources and operations for its UK and Ireland brands.

Sharing her excitement, Sewell said that she is happy to become a part of Flutter. Most recently, she was a part of Dentons, a leading law firm that offers quality services globally. Acknowledging that she was a part of a great team at Dentons, Sewell said that she is now joining another great team at Flutter. Last but not least, she thanked Flutter for its warm welcome.

While a part of Dentons, Sewell served as the company’s UK and Middle East managing director for four years. Before that, she was a part of RBS for three years until May 2018. During her tenure at RBS, Sewell held key positions such as director, shared operations, as well as head of bankwide simplification, COO capital resolution.

Sewell’s professional background includes seven years as a director at LS Projects Ltd until May 2015. Additionally, Sewell was a part of Lehman Brothers, the global financial giant that declared bankruptcy in 2008. As a part of Lehman Brothers, Sewell served as head of European strategic analysis, mortgage capital for two years until 2008. Last but not least, she was also a part of Cable & Wireless, formerly a British telecommunications company.

The Company Completed Other Senior Leadership Changes Recently

Earlier this month, Flutter confirmed the leave of Paddy Power’s CEO, Victor Corcoran. Although he did not comment publicly on the topic, his departure comes during shifts in the company’s teams.

More recently, Flutter confirmed the appointment of Alex Cassettari as head of procurement services. Formerly, Cassettari served as a senior manager for procurement services at BT and BT Sourced.
