Online tournament platform FirstBlood has teamed up with esports powerhouse Divine Esports and the Vietnam PUBG Divine League, helping the league and organization expand their footprint in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region.
Divine Esports and FirstBlood Team Up to Work on SEA Expansion
Tournament host FirstBlood has joined Divine Esports in promoting the Vietnam PUBG Divine League across Southeast Asia (SEA). The pair will use FirstBlood’s platform to help the team expanding into the region and consolidate their presence on the Vietnam competitive gaming scene.
Apart from helping local teams and esports structures develop, FirstBlood is making a first foray into the market itself, with its operations already underway in places, such as Europe, North America, and India.
Divine Corp. Co-Founder Tran Thu Dong commented on the developments: “We want to make Vietnam a center for esports in Southeast Asia. In 6 months, we’ll look back at the results we’ve achieved and know why FirstBlood came here. 2019 is going to be a memorable year for esports in Vietnam!”
FirstBlood CEO Joe Zhou also expressed his confidence that the pair can work together to bring more esports to the region. Mr. Zhou added:
Divine league’s success is an instrumental proof to what our ultimate vision is at FirstBlood, the competitive side of video gaming could be available to just about anyone.
FirstBlood and PUBG Are Known Partners
FirstBlood has been running small tournaments across several regions. In North America, the company hosted a small $10,000 PUBG event in October, 2018, inviting 16 of the best teams in North America, including Cloud 9 and Ghost Gaming among others.
