FanDuel Ushers in UK Collaboration Hub in Edinburgh

Flutter Entertainment’s leading US-based business FanDuel has officially launched its pioneer UK Collaboration Hub in Scotland’s tech capital, Edinburgh. The hub will reunite cross-discipline projects, generate innovation, and bring FanDuel, Flutter UK and Ireland, and International division colleagues under the same rooftop.

250 Brand New Jobs Underway

The UK Collaboration Hub will generate 250 fresh engineering job openings. The new positions will be filled up in an attempt to strengthen the growth of FanDuel’s casino, mobile sportsbook, and racing platforms, all well-established leaders in the industry. Additional product, tech, and Use Experience projects will also be initiated by the reunited teams of colleagues.

The new space is located on Freer Street in Edinburgh’s renovated Fountainbridge region. The hub is bright and welcoming, ready to stimulate the staff’s creativity while providing them with all the advanced gear they need to put their ideas into practice. The space spreads over three floors, it can host up to 550 people, and it has been designed with the need for flexibility in mind. The new hub is ready to receive its constantly growing staff while promoting a relaxed and fully-inclusive work environment. Employees will also benefit from dedicated gaming areas packed with gaming consoles, pool tables, and even a rooftop garden with acoustic pods where the staff will have the chance to relax and unwind.

An Exciting New Chapter in the FanDuel Story

FanDuel’s vice president of software engineering Matthew Taylor referred to the opening of the new UK Collaboration Hub as “an exciting new chapter in the FanDuel story” that is expected to “proactively” reunite the best talents from all parts of the country and have them work towards innovation and excellence. Taylor also called the new hub a “dedicated creative space” and spoke about the way in which a “collaborative approach” would be the “best way to drive results and truly innovate when it comes to product delivery.”

The UK Collaboration Hub was initially founded in Scotland back in 2009, making the new launch the freshest investment made by fanDuel in the country. The hub will be opening its doors to both and will be UK and US visitors. Taylor added that investing in their people was “key” in the context of the continuous book recorded by the Scottish and UK tech sectors. The fresh hub will help assist the company with its goals to keep recruiting, developing, and supporting its colleagues as the UK base of employees goes higher by the day.

At the end of August, FanDuel announced it would launch its own linear cable TV network complete featuring an OTT platform. Also, the company’s daily fantasy sports giant will begin operations in Nevada, at the Fremont Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas by the end of the year.
