Golf Pro Jordan Spieth and FanDuel Ink Multi-Year Partnership
US sports betting market leader FanDuel announced Wednesday that it inked a multi-year partnership with three-time major golf champion Jordan Spieth. Under the exclusive partnership, FanDuel becomes the official sports betting and daily fantasy provider for the professional golfer.
Currently, FanDuel is an official sports betting partner of the PGA Tour, and the latest deal with Spieth expands and solidifies the company’s presence in the field of golf. Under the newly inked agreement, Spieth will participate in FanDuel’s commercials on national TV.
Additionally, he will collaborate with FanDuel on responsible media gaming initiatives, as well as social media content. The agreement will also see Spieth as the face of FanDuel’s golf products. In return, FanDuel will support the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation.
Spieth: A Perfect Fit for FanDuel
FanDuel’s CMO, Mike Raffensperger, said that with the growing popularity of golf on FanDuel’s platform, the company has been constantly looking for new ways to engage the growing fan base. Additionally, Raffensperger deemed Spieth a perfect fit for the company.
As one of the most universally admired golfers at the top of his game, Jordan Spieth is a perfect fit for our first official golf partner and the face of golf at FanDuel.”

The Golf Pro Is Excited to Collaborate with FanDuel
As an up-and-coming golfer, Spieth did not wait to prove himself and quickly become a globally recognizable golf star. There aren’t many golfers that have entered the professional ranks so quickly and proved themselves. Spieth was the youngest player to win the PGA TOUR in 82 years, a feat he achieved at the John Deere Classic in 2013 when he was only 19.
After that, in 2015, when he was only 21, he won the Masters, as well as the US Open. Only two years later, he won the 2017 Open Championship. But his career continued to grow. This year, Spieth is ranked #2 on the Fed-Ex Cup rankings. Additionally, for the current season, he has nine Top-10 finishes.
As the world of legal sports betting grows rapidly in the U.S, I’m incredibly excited about what’s happening in the space and the potential it has to bring new fans to the sport of golf.”

Spieth said about the deal that he is excited about the growing popularity of legal sports betting in the US and how that activity has the potential to increase fan engagement. He acknowledged that the PGA Tour and others have already “strongly embraced legalized sports gaming.” Spieth asserted said that he is looking forward to working with FanDuel to create new ways to engage the fast-growing golf fan base.
