FanDuel Hires the Services of Chris Jones
The U.S. sports betting brand of Flutter Entertainment, FanDuel Group, announced that it appointed Chris Jones as a Vice President of Corporate Communications. In his new position, the marketing and communications veteran Jones will be leading for the company’s corporate affairs and communications.
He is going to be responsible for promoting of FanDuel’s commitment to responsible gambling. Furthermore, Jones is going to work toward the expansion of the company brand and its partnerships. Another one of his responsibilities is going to be expanding FanDuel’s online and retail strategy. Jones will also work closely with Flutter to highlight the financial performance of FanDuel.
In a statement, FanDuel Group CEO, Matt King, said that Jones is a “measured and seasoned executive with strong crisis management skills and experience communicating complex business issues“. Furthermore, he added that he is delighted to have someone like Jones with such in-depth experience as a part of FanDuel’s team.
Jones Has a Solid Background with More Than 25 Years of Experience
As a Vice President of Corporate Communications at FanDuel, Jones brings significant experience with more than 25 years in the industry. His background features crisis response, communication with responsible teams and business partners as well as corporate re-branding and internal culture reboots.
Before joining FanDuel, Jones was a part of IPG Mediabrands as a Global Chief Communications Officer for 1 year. Before IPG, for 10 months he was a Chief Marketing Officer at Sizmek. In the period 2017-2018, Jones was a part of MDC Media Partners as a Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
By joining the company, Jones will report to FanDuel’s CMO Mike Raffensperger, and will be based in the company’s New York office. In a statement, Raffensperger outlined that Jones is “an experienced communications leader with proven and tested experience”. “His track record of providing strategic communications know-how to both clients, and as in-house counsel to brands is important as we look to leverage our explosive growth trajectory.” added Raffensperger.
