FanDuel and The Ringer Bet Heavily on Fan-Focused Experiences
The Ringer and FanDuel have signed a year-long partnership to seek better engagement with audiences, which company executives describe as “absurdly fan-focused.”
FanDuel and The Ring Boost Fan Experience through Partnership
FanDuel Group and pop culture website The Ringer has signed a new partnership that will focus on promoting each brand’s assets. The partnership will run through February 2022 and continue to develop a relationship that already started with brief teasers of each company’s assets in the past.
Commenting on the partnership, FanDuel VP of media David Webb said that The Ringer constitutes a core part of FanDuel’s strategy of reaching new customers and building connections with fans, as well as “creating compelling content,” adding:
“The Ringer network and the group of talent there bring a unique perspective to sports and sports betting and we believe this combination will add continued value to our customers, fans and audiences alike.”
The Ringer will introduce a narrative that focuses solely on fans and puts forward products where the only goal is to cater to a specific audience’s preferences. The way Webb describes it is an “absurdly fan-focused” experience, and not least thanks to The Ringer.
‘Absurdly Fan-Focused’ Engagement
FanDuel will benefit further by establishing itself as the exclusive sports betting and daily fantasy sports partner across the entire set of The Ringer’s assets.
“We are delighted to deepen our partnership with FanDuel on such a unique engagement across The Ringer’s portfolio,” The Ringer head of global podcast sales at Spotify Angie More said.
Together, More argues, FanDuel and The Ringer will be able to develop new creative ideas that will help both brands achieve better fan approval and recognition. FanDuel is running another promotion with The Captain Morgan Soccer Pick’em Contest that started in late April.
The company has been well-represented in various contests and FanDuel continues to split the mobile betting and gaming segment with DraftKings, although a new challenger has arisen in the face of BetMGM.
