DraftKings Adds Bryson DeChambeau as Ambassador for Golf
The world’s No. 6 golfer, Bryson DeChambeau, has inked a partnership with DraftKings, becoming the official “face of golf” for DraftKings in the sport.
DeChambeau Becomes Face of DraftKings in Golf
DraftKings is arriving on Bryson DeChambeau’s cap and its logo will sit there all throughout the US Open Championship in what is part of a multi-year partnership between the sportsbook and the athlete.
Effectively, DeChambeau, who is one of the most respected and successful golfers today, will become the face of DraftKings in the sport. DeChambeau will appear as part of broader DraftKings advertising efforts as well, showing up on marketing campaigns, videos, social media and more.
DraftKings is betting big on golf, as it’s also the official sponsor for the PGA Tour, and the sport enjoys a sizeable following in the United States. Golf ranks well internally for DraftKings, which argues that it’s the fourth most bet on fantasy sport.
Among the sports’ advantages, according to DraftKings, is the fact that golf is geared towards all verticals of the betting experience, including live, pre-match, and fantasy. Commenting on the partnership, DraftKings Chief Business Officer Ezra Kucharz had this to say:
“Golf has been a great sport for us, in both the DFS and sports betting segments. This helps amplify the investment we’ve already made in the sport. It’s the natural next step.”
DeChambeau already has a portfolio of high-profile partners, being the sixth-best player in the current world ranking. He holds deals with Puma, Bose, Rolex and Bentley. Meanwhile, DraftKings has just launched in Tennessee and is now accessible in nine states where sports betting is legal.
