Delaware North Becomes Member of AGA’s ‘Have A Game Plan’
Delaware North has become the latest hospitality and entertainment company to join the American Gaming Association’s Have A Game Plan – Bet Responsibly campaign, the association reported. This initiative was established a few years back and it’s intended to promote a responsible gambling framework for consumers.

While the campaign had a slow start, it has been enjoying revitalized interest by prominent parties in the gaming industry through and through. Have A Game Plan reaches beyond one or two media and is focused on in-person and digital advertising that will hopefully reach all betting adults in the United States. Delaware North chief corporate affairs officer Jack McNeill welcomed the opportunity for his company to be collaborating with AGA on what is a pivotal campaign in ensuring that gambling harm in the country is minimized:
“Responsibility is not only core to Delaware North’s commitment to our customers, but essential to the sustainable growth of legal sports betting. We’re proud to work with the AGA on this important initiative to educate fans on responsible gaming.”
Delaware North’s addition is similarly important as it boosts the geographical footprint of the campaign. The company presently has operations in eight states and runs sports gambling in Arkansas and West Virginia.
The company is also expected to introduce its platform insofar as sports betting is concerned over the coming months. With the company’s commitment to the program, Have A Game Plan now numbers no fewer than 20 stakeholders that are prepared to assist with boosting awareness for responsible betting.
There are more practical applications of joining the program as well. Members are now obligated to actively promote responsible gambling messages that educate consumers on how not to bet or gamble excessively. AGA SVP Casey Clark welcomed Delaware North and said:
“We’re grateful for their partnership and leadership in advancing responsible gaming and ensuring bettors have the tools to wager responsibly.”

Americans Need More Help to Gamble Responsibly
It has been three years now since AGA launched the campaign in 2019 and it’s true that more can be done in order to help bring the message to adult Americans. Presently, there are over 130 million people across 33 states and the District of Columbia who are eligible or soon-to-be eligible for placing a wager on sports. To do so responsibly, they would need to be constantly guided, though the association cautions.
Connecticut has just issued a warning about unregulated gambling on March Madness and Pennsylvania vowed to allocate money to organizations that want to tackle problem gambling. Have A Game Plan is an important part of the nation’s efforts to keep sports betting clean.
Among some of the prominent brands to recently join the campaigns are Penn National Gaming and Madison Square Garden. Meanwhile, AGA has confirmed that the overall understanding of the regulated sports betting market is improving. In other words, more Americans today are able to tell which sportsbooks are licensed and safe.
