Debra Nutton Joins Everi’s Board of Directors

Everi's Board of Directors confirmed that Nutton matches the criteria to become an independent director as a part of the Board

The leading global supplier of technology solutions for the gambling industry, Everi Holdings, confirmed a senior-level appointment Wednesday. The company revealed it appointed Debra Nutton to its Board of Directors. Although the announcement was made this week, Everi explained that the appointment will be effective as of April 1, 2023.

Joining the company’s Board, Nutton brings decades of experience. According to the Board, she matched the necessary requirements, making her an independent director “for the purposes of New York Exchange rules.” Moreover, Nutton was also selected as a member of the Board’s Audit Committee, Nominating and Governance Committee and Compensation Committee. She is filing a vacant spot on the Board which currently has nine members.

Michael Rumbolz, the executive chairman of Everi’s Board, welcomed Nutton to the company’s growing team. He outlined that she has a track record and is a proven leader, which makes her an invaluable addition to the Board.

Rumbolz pointed out that Nutton is expected to bring strategic counsel which is ultimately going to help the company improve its products. This, in turn, will likely boost Everi’s profits and global footprint. “Debra joins us at an opportune time to assist with the expansive growth opportunities that we expect will take Everi to even greater prominence in coming years,” said Rumbolz in conclusion.

Overall, Nutton’s professional experience within the gaming vertical spans over four decades. Her background includes an executive vice president of casino operations role for Wynn Las Vegas. She held that role between 2013 and 2018.

At the time, she also consulted the company for the upcoming opening of Encore Boston Harbor. Nutton also played a key role by providing strategic advice for the Resorts World Las Vegas property that opened in 2021.

Nutton’s professional career includes a board member position with Global Gaming Women, as well as an Advisory Board role with Global Gaming Expo (G2E). In addition, she was also a part of MGM Resorts, where she held the role of senior vice president of casino operations. A few years ago, Nutton was recognized for her contributions and experience within the gaming vertical after securing the 2018 Great Women of Gaming Lifetime Achievement Award.
