Chelsea continues its quest for the Premier League title on Sunday at Stamford Bridge, where the London Blues meet their city rival Tottenham. Winning all three points is a must for Thomas Tuchel’s boys, who are without a Premier League win in four rounds.

Although Chelsea did win in each of their previous 10 duels with Tottenham in all competitions, winning on Sunday isn’t going to be easy. One of the reasons for that is that in the 2021-22 season, the Spurs are led by the former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

Chelsea Desperate for a Win

The last time Chelsea won a Premier League game was on Boxing Day. However, they did win a couple of games in the League Cup and the FA Cup since. Actually, their most recent win was a win over Tottenham on January 12.

However, since that win, we saw Chelsea losing to the table leader Manchester City, as well as play a draw with Brighton. They need to pull themselves together ASAP as there are some tough games coming their way in the next couple of weeks.

In February, they’ll have to play against Arsenal in the Premier League, Liverpool in the League Cup, and Lille in the Champions League.

That said, winning the Tottenham game isn’t just about points; it’s also about getting the players’ confidence back up.

Tottenham Coming Off a Big Win in the Prem

The Spurs did lose to Chelsea two times this year in the League Cup. However, in the Premier League, they’ve been doing more than okay. In fact, they’re without a single loss in the English top-flight since October.

Tottenham’s most recent Premier League game took place on Wednesday at King Power Stadium where they defeated Leicester City 3-2. Beating the Foxes is a confidence booster on its own, but the way the Spurs did it has made everyone buzzing about this team.

Leicester was 2-1 up until the 5^th minute of the stoppage time when Tottenham’s forward Steven Bergwijn scored the equalized. Two minutes later, he scored again, bringing his team the victory. Tottenham’s captain Harry Kane also did well in the game, scoring once and recording one assist.

Their performance against Leicester proved that Antonio Conte’s boys can do well against almost any team. Does this include Chelsea? It probably does. These guys do have the talent to beat Chelsea, although getting a draw seems like a more plausible scenario for Sunday’s game.
