Caesars Sportsbook Teams Up With MSU Athletics
Michigan State University Athletics, the athletic division of Michigan State University, has elected the renowned Caesars Sportsbook to be its official and exclusive sports betting and iGaming provider.
MSU Athletics and Caesars Pen a Deal
As per the deal, the gambling operator will provide responsible betting education materials as well as premium MSU Athletics-related gambling and hospitality offerings. Moreover, the operator will provide significant financial backing to MSU Athletics.
In return, Caesars will have its brand propagated throughout the Spartans’ biggest football, basketball, and hockey games. In addition, Caesars will be granted naming rights to some of the premium seating areas at Spartan Stadium.
Participants in Caesars’ loyalty program, Caesars Rewards, will be able to receive various VIP experiences based on their engagement with the platform, including special broadcasts and digital MSU content in relation to major sports events.
This deal was made possible thanks to the help of the sports marketing and media company Playfly Sports, which serves as Michigan State University’s third-party multimedia rights holder.
The Parties Are Committed to Excellence
Michigan State University’s vice president and director of athletics, Alan Haller, spoke on the deal. According to him, being able to partner with a gambling company as renowned as Caesars is, will undoubtedly improve the overall experience of fans of the Spartans, especially during game days.
Haller is also happy that the financial part of the Caesars partnership will be invaluable as it will fill the growing needs of the athletics department’s varsity programs. In conclusion, Haller said that the whole MSU Athletics team is delighted by the deal: “We are excited to be on the cutting edge of this innovative opportunity.”
Caesars Digital’s co-president, Eric Hession, also shared his thoughts on the matter. He praised MSU for its robust traditions of excellence. Since the university partners only with the best of the best, Hession said that he is delighted that it has chosen Caesars to stand by its side. Furthermore, the co-president admitted that the deal also has a lot of value to the gambling company as well.
“The Spartan fan base and alumni network is passionate and well-established across the country. We look forward to building upon our connection with them while strengthening the legacy we hold in the state of Michigan and advancing scholarship opportunities through this partnership.”
Caesars has been working hard to market its brand among sports fans. The gambling operator recently teamed up with the ex-National Hockey League star Henrik Lundqvist and with the former NBA 2KTV host Rachel DeMita.
