DraftKings Hires Brian Angiolet as CMO
DraftKings, the US-based sports betting market leader, announced on Tuesday that it hired the services of Brian Angiolet. In his new position, he will serve as Chief Media Officer, effective from Monday, April 26, 2021. The appointment marks the first-ever CMO position for DraftKings and Angiolet will help oversee and optimize content creation. Furthermore, in his new position, he will also oversee media strategy.
Before joining DraftKings, Angiolet served as SVP and Chief Business Officer at Verizon Communications Inc. While at Verizon, he led multiple high-profile, multi-billion-dollar content and advertising initiatives. Such deals included partnerships with premier sports leagues such as NBA and the NFL.
Furthermore, Angiolet has overseen Verizon Wireless’s advertising, and media portfolio. Most recently, he helped the company with its 5G mobile edge computing partnership program and held a key role in the deals with IBM, Amazon, and Microsoft.
Angiolet Brings Significant Experience to DraftKings
In a statement, Angiolet shared his excitement by saying that for DraftKings the sky is the limit. Furthermore, he acknowledged that the company’s platform holds significant potential.
