Betting company Dafabet Inks Partnership with Brazil’s Palmeiras
Brazilian football club Palmeiras has added Dafabet as its first official sponsor in an agreement that will run until the end of 2021.
First Sponsor Deal for the Libertadores winner
Sports betting company Dafabet announced it is becoming the official betting partner of one of Brazil’s most popular football clubs, Palmeiras. The information was revealed by the São Paulo soccer club on its official website and social networks yesterday.
The sponsorship agreement will run by December 2021 and will provide the sports betting company with brand exposure on the team’s Allianz Parque home stadium, interview backdrops, Palmeiras Plus TV, as well as the club’s football academy and across its social media pages. There will also be fan-focused campaigns, and exclusive promotions and bonuses on Dafabet together with a newly designed Palmeiras page on Dafabet.
“This partnership between the biggest champion in Brazil and the Libertadores winner, and one of the biggest online betting companies in the world is just the beginning of a great story.”
Kasper Trier, executive director, Dafabet, Brazil and Latin America
Roberto Trinas, the marketing director of the ‘Verdão’, commented on the new partnership and highlighted that Dafabet is the first company in the sports betting segment to sponsor Palmeiras. Trinas expressed his confidence that the agreement will be beneficial to all parties, and most of all to Palmeirenses fans.
Dafabet With Consistent Efforts to Expand Global Presence
The online sports betting company boasts a large portfolio of sports partnerships in place. In 2018, Dafabet extended its partnership with Celtic till 2025 in what was considered “Scottish football’s biggest ever front of shirt sponsorship deal”.
In August 2020, Dafabet increased its presence in European football by becoming the new master sponsor of the Spanish La Liga team Cadiz. The brand was already present in Europe as the main sponsor of English Premier League club Norwich City.
Earlier this month, Norwich City announced a new partnership with BK8 Sports as a shirt sponsor replacing Dafabet. However, the team announced the termination of the deal just three days later, as it faced negative reactions from fans and other partners.
Dafabet’s latest deal with Palmeiras expands the company’s footprint in the Latin American market, where it struck a deal with Santos FC in May. Dafabet’s partnership with Brasileiro Série A team will run by the end of the year, with the option of renewal.
